New Year in Thailand
Dear Friends,
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year. I have been in America for about a month and of course it has been a great time. I have been so blessed as I always am by my family and have had time to rest and eat too much American food. I had a strange craving for brownies. It was weird. Is it possible to have a brownie deficiency? Anyway time has flown by and I will be returning to Thailand tomorrow. So please keep me in your prayers as I make the long 21 hour flight.
A day after I arrive in Thailand I have a team coming - my bestest friend in the whole world and her husband and two of their friends are coming to do a seminar. We will be hosting this event at the children's home and we are going to be training worship leaders as well as teaching laypeople, evangelists and pastors in the morning. We are also having another outreach to the Thai community with a concert where we will preach the gospel and give away prizes and food. The last one we had over 150 people accepted Jesus. Then they will be traveling deep in the jungle to do some ministry in the villages and a leadership conference as well. Pray for this team and these events. I told them you bring revival and we will have it! Just BRING IT!!
Good news on the Karen Worship CD. It is finally finished and is selling like hotcakes so they tell me. We have been distributing them into the refugee camps and other missionaries are buying them in bulk to take into the jungles of Burma and into the refugee camps also. A good friend of mind wrote me that she put one in the hands of the leader of Karen Army that fights for the Burmese - which would make them technically the enemy to the Karen liberation army trying to be free of the government in Burma. So in the hands of the enemy! It is far more than I ever imagined. I knew God was going to do something special with this CD and He has. He always blows me away with His big plans. We just do what little we can and trust him to make it spectacular. And He does - He always does.
So keep praying my dear friends. This next year is going to be fantastic. God is doing big, incredible and exciting things in the world and in our lives most of all if we let Him. Thank you to all those who are apart of what He is doing in mine. I look at how far He has brought me and it is amazing and terrifying all at the same time. I feel like what they say to rock climbers - DON'T LOOK DOWN!! So much of my life feels normal till I come home and I realize what I do everyday and see my life and I think WHAT IN THE WORLD AM I DOING? AM I CRAZY?? But I guess the reality for me is that I want God's best for my life and I don't want only what I can get for myself with my own grabbing and scratching and striving, I want what only God can give me. I want better than what I could get for myself. I want His best and all His good things. The trick is those good things can only be found by walking HIS path and obeying Him. So this is my path and I am thankful for it as much as it frightens me sometimes. But then I remember - I don't have to do it alone or even at all. Just go and trust Him for the rest and He does it. We all have our thing we have to do. You, me and all of us. .
I wanted to let those of you know that are my monthly partners that RHEMA offers automatic withdrawals monthly to be given to my ministry. This is for your convenience. They will credit a credit card or do an auto transfer from your bank if you would like to set this up. I am attaching forms. For auto credit card donations, donors will need to contact the Partner Services dept. at 918-258-1588, ext. 2238, or partnerservice@rhema.org and they will take care of it for them. As always 100% of this goes to the ministry in Thailand. I can't possibly thank you enough for making the beautiful ministry in Thailand possible, for food and clothes and medicine for my children, for everything you give but I ask that God will do that for me and that you are abundantly blessed.
God Bless you all!
Love,
Candace
