Hello everyone! I thought it was time to send some more pictures of the beautiful children in my children’s home. This time I focused on pictures of our little ones. I realized usually I take pictures only of my teenage girls who love to have their pictures taken and constantly ask so maybe no one knows that we have little ones too – lots of them. They are on school break now so we miss them and pray for them. It was hard to see them go knowing that now is the most difficult time of year for poor families. Many of them have now run out of rice and won’t have any until the harvest in November so they are facing a month or so of starvation in some cases. We help as many families as we can focusing on those families with many children. We do what we can and then we trust God to take care of them as they are His after all.

Things have been going well in the mountains this rainy season. The rain is over now! Praise the Lord. I have been fighting several wars. I got lice but it has been defeated completely and utterly.. Lice in this hair is no joke let me tell you. I have also been fighting the rats that have decided my house is a lovely place to live but they have also been defeated (the people in the village came and killed them and ate them thank you very much - they thought since they had been eating my soy milk and very expensive vitimin type meal replacements from America that they would be especially delicious) but unfotunely I still have some insurgents that are proving difficult to kill. They don't live there but come in only to eat. However the battle is still waging against the mold/mildew. We are in a Vietnam-style war and I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I am hoping now that it is not raining and hopefully the humidity will drop from 100% to 98% then maybe I can get somewhere!

During this school break we are in Chaing Mai FINALLY recording the long awaited Karen praise and worship CD. We are over half way through now and it is wonderful. It is a surreal experience to hear yourself sing and I sound different than I do in my head. ch I thought the whole thing would probably be horrible and mortifying (because I remember how I sounded as a little girl singing into grandmas tape player) but it’s actually not and my Karen is clear!! Hallelujia!!. It is only God let me tell you. Truly this CD is powerful and we are believing that every time this CD is played in every house, village and church that their hearts would be stirred with a hunger to stand and worship God.

These are exciting times now here in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Thailand as we see revival starting. There is such an excitement now that we feel as we see the children being touched by God and as they abandon themselves in worship and His presence is so real in our home. Even as we travel from village to village the children lead the people in worship and as they do the presence of God just falls and the people have never felt this before. The people are getting hungry for God. I have been preaching and teaching almost non-stop since I returned from America. I minister in two bible schools and it is amazing to see the hunger to learn in these young people. Even the women in the village where I live come to my house and want to be taught. They give up their little time they have to rest to come and be taught through an interpreter for three hours, they want so much just to learn. God is pouring out His spirit and it has only just begun. When ever people are hungry for God, He himself will come and fill them.

It is an awesome time for me, awesome to know what I have been called to be apart of and just to watch what God is doing and know that it is all His mercy and grace doing this thing that He ordained since the beginning of time. I have learned that to take people into the presence of God and teach them and lead them that I must first go there and live there and His presence has to be my highest goal. The ministry is nothing, loving and worshipping God is everything. It all means nothing without Him, work is just work unless He touches it and then it is miraculous and lives are changed. We can only change earth when we touch heaven everyday in our hearts.

Soon it will be Christmas and we are preparing already. We want not only to bless our children with a present but be able to bless two of the other children’s homes in the area who are poor and will not have any presents and probably have never ever had presents in their lives. We are excited about this because it is so important that the children learn to give and then they will be blessed in return. Thank you to all who give so faithfully. You are such an important part of what we do here. We pray for you and know you are blessed by God we pray that He repays you because we never could thank you or repay you enough for helping us. God Bless you and keep praying!!
Love,
Candace

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple. Ps 27:4
